Unitech's paper recycling drive

One tone of paper collected

Unitech, India's leading business group and an integrated developer of large-scale real estate projects, has initiated a paper recycling drive, which is a part of its ongoing CSR agenda. Building on its commitment to responsible recycling, Unitech has utilized the services of Greenobin Recycling Pvt Ltd to help them recycle all the paper consumed in its offices & sites and reducing its ecological footprint.

The drive, which started at the Corporate Office, got a positive response and hence got implemented at other offices and construction sites also.

Unitech has been involved in the past in encouraging employees to be conscientiously aware of the environment. This recycle initiative will help Unitech to take simple steps to reuse, reduce and recycle paper.

Recycling bins are being placed at number of places in Unitech offices and sites for collecting recyclable paper. These get emptied on weekly basis and transported to the recycling site.

Commenting on the drive, the Unitech spokesperson said, 'Unitech has always played an important role in contributing back to the environment through initiatives like rainwater harvesting, energy efficient buildings, social forestry etc. Our paper recycling drive is one of such initiatives which would help to preserve and protect environment.'
